Thinking about the 3/4 drop, HELP
I have a 82 gmc high sierra all stock except a late 80's 350. But the real question is i want a 3/4 drop and i have a friend that says he can get my the front springs, and rear blocks for $60. Is that good? Do you think it;ll look like a good drop? I have a swb, stepside, black and im JUST starting it all. thanks

You don't use blocks on the rear of an 82 full size GM truck.
A 4 inch rear drop will require either shackles and hanger combo, or some kind of dearched spring.

Tx is right. Anytime the axle is under the leaf spring, blocks won't lower it.
Personally, if I were you, I would go with a 5" flip kit for the rear. Then later, when you want to go lower (which you will BTW), you can add a drop shackle.

swervin...what do you have for lowering hardware in your 85?? I was going to go 4/6 in mine but not sure if it would be too low to be a daily driver...any ideas?
Its presently all stock..

First thing, I have all Western Chassis components. In front I have 2.5" spindles and 1.5" coils. Out back I have a 5" flip kit and shackles in the lower hole. I also have a C notch and shock extenders.
To me a 4/6 drop is perfect for a daily driver. I bought all my stuff at http://www.performancesuspension.com/
