Blow outs and guardrails really blow.
Thank god my truck is down and it happened in the POS Town Car.
The irony is killing me though. One day, i brag that my truck is more dependable than gravity, then the very next day, the engine takes a crap. Well...it happened again. Last night, I said to this dude..."I haven't done any dammage to this car...not even a scratch, except for the POR15 hole I had to drill in the 1/4 panel. So picture it, 5:35 am, headin to work, Mtn dew in the cup holder, Little Debbie honey bun in hand, cigg in my mouth. Going up a bridge..a 50 MPH zone. I might have been flirting with 60MPH...but I think I was only 5 over. BOOM!!!! All of a sudden the wheel is jerked out of my hand and I am making tracks in the gravel towards the guard rail. BLAM!!! Right into the friggen rail. All the junk in my car...which there is lots of it in the back seat...(had to make room for the 350 in the trunk last night) it all came flying up front, got hit in the back of the head with an unopened Mtn Dew can, books hittin the windsgield, a carb makes it's way out from under the seat and into my ankles... Got out to look at the damage....this sucker is a tank. Hardly a dent in it. A scratch that starts at the nose...goes all the way back to the hole I had to drill in the 1/4 panel. There is another one there too. Looks like ass, but it SHOULD be way worse. Spilled my friggen dew...I was PO'd. Then i discover the spare is flat. Time to walk 3 miles home. How was your day. |

recently coming back from n.c. on the interstate i saw a dodge intrepid blow a rear tire at about 85mph and it looked to have about $5000 in damage to it, rear bumper cover taillights and quarter panel all had very serious damage
at least you didn't have to walk through 3foot high snowdrifts

Actually, since I was going to be late for work, i thought I would run the 3 miles. (it's probably more like 2 miles) So I left the smokes in the car.
By the time I got 3/4 mile down the road, i remember I haven't ran in 3 or so years and stopped. Almost barfed up my honey bun...that's not good. |

Oh I was pissed. This is (was) the first 1/2 way decent vehicle I've had a quite a long time. The old longhorn was almost 1/2 way decent, but you could see the rust from 1/2 a block away. This one is a dark color so the damage my dad did disapears after 20 feet.
I did get lucky though. With my dad in the hospital, My baby sister needs rides to work in the morning. I was supposed to take her today, but I forgot to clear it with the boss on Sunday, so I convinced my other sister to do it. Had I been taking her to work, I woulda been on the freeway, and probably doing 70-ish. |

GRRRRRR....now i am ticked. I just had to push the POS out of an intersection, and walked home AGAIN!
My little sister helped push and she commented on how warm the trunk was, I told her that it has hand warmers built in. She was laughing so hard that I ended up pushing the sob by my self. I've had this thing for about 2...maybe 3 months, and it has already let me down more than my GMC did in 3 1/2 YEARS! For all us dislexic ppl, ford is spelled drof...which we all know mean... Driver Returns On Foot. So true so true. As for the humor in my bad experiance stories, I can laugh at myself most of the time, and I figure everyone needs a good laugh, or at least a chuckle...so I'll do it at my expense. Besides, if I took lifew seriously, I woulda ended it a looooong time ago. |

breakfast of champions I'm tellin you.
I left the POS where it is sitting. It almost started after replacing the coil. I'll mess with it tomorow, as long as no one steals the 350 out of the trunk, I'll be happy. |

It must be bad luck with cars in Ohio month...this weekend I went to a party at my buddy's apartment in Akron, and I slept in my car. When I woke up the interior lights were all on. The car cranked and cranked, but wouldn't start. I got a jump, but it turns out that my driver's door jamb switch is bad, and it caused the lights to ground out...so they are always on even if my door is closed. So now when I park, I have to pull the fuse out. Replacing the swtich doesn't look like a fun job either, i need to tear apart my kick panel and possibly some ofthe lower dash. Also, my radiator developed a leak, and it looks like I need a new one. This is all after the accident I got in a couple weeks ago. At least I can go wrench on my truck or the Farmall if I get too upset.
