Cruise modulator thinger

How does this thing work?

I've got my whole cruise setup working less that stupid fender peice. I bought a new one from the wrecking yard, but it's coil must be burnt out or something as it doesn't work at all. I can hear the main relay click when I press the button, but all it does is simply floor the truck outright, even if I do it at a complete stand still in park. Does anyone know how a guy can fix it, I took it apart, but I don't understand how it works...

Or does anyone have one? Its from an 80.

I have one off a TPI Let me know if you need it. I even have a enormusly long cable for it .. I had gotten it for my cruise swap since my cruise setup came from a camaro But managed to get a cruise servo /cable off a carburated camaro.

I really like mine being on the fender as opposed to next to the distributor like these trucks come with.

Just get a remanufactured one from a parts store, cruise is one thing to not mess around with IMO. You can get a reman unit for under $100US.

Everything works but the fender mounted unit -- but I am still interested in the TPI cruise system, as I'll be going with a TPI later.

I am getting the system going so I can sell it, as I won't be able to use the factory setup. But I wouldn't mind getting a cruise setup from a Camaro to run cruise with my TPI though
