petronix ignitor ignition
I don't know if this information is of help to anyone else but... Just put an ignitor ignition system in my 69 so I won't be changing points anymore. I couldn't figure out though why it started fouling plugs. I started using a wide gap but the same results, just took longer. At the time I was using AC plugs just to try something else I started running Autolite plugs with the same wide gap. No more problems. Don't know why just know it worked.

Autolite plugs are great plugs! In a previous motor- lots of compression, vic Jr MSD ETC. ETC The autolites were all that would hold up. The MSD 7 box just id not get along with AC plugs. IMO the Ac plugs are not as good a conductor as the autolites and I have tried other- Splitfire- waste of money, NGK, Bosch- autolite works the best.

I probably have 24,000 miles on my pertronix and AC plugs. I haven't noticed any fouling. They are also set to .035 gap because I didn't know any better and haven't changed them or re-gapped them.

plugs
I've always heard bad things about splitfires. All I know is it's autolites from now on. Truck is doing fantastic.

Anyone ever thought of putting one brand plug on one bank (V8) and another brand plug on the other bank, all gaped the same? Then run it and examine the difference at the electrodes.
