rearend is back in!!!
to bad its to late to drive it tonight. i just now got done. those damn u bolts took forever to get the nuts on them. I'm tired too. tommorow it gets a wash after the rain and then its cruising time

Wow. now you can have a 0-60 in under 10 seconds

yes i know, and if you want to get technical, like i always do, after 87 the 700R4 are 4L60, and it wasn't untill later that they became the 4L60E, but some people like not having to worry about transmission at all so they go with overkill, like having a turbo 400 behind a 305.

I wouldn't worry about a regular 700r4 behind his 355, its not putting out enough power to kill one, but a 700r4 would be way nicer than that th350, I couldn't stand to turn 3500rpm while cruising, but I bet it moves. 3500 rpm is what my VW with 3.94 gears and a 5 speed tranny turns at 75mph.

i finally found a dry road tonight. everyother road was wet and would spin the tires anytime i floored it below 45mph it would spin and go sideways.
so anyways, i found this road that was dry. i stoped, held the brake and revved to about 2000rpms then launched it in 1st gear. without even flooring it, maybe 3/4 throttle, it got sideways and i had to shift into 2nd before i knew it by the time i was in 3rd gear i was only going about 40mph i think i'm gonna have the same problem ryan has, finding traction |

We will see how long it holds up. Powerbraking, new gears and posi doesn't sound to good together. Not that I want anything to happen with it. I dont think it had enough time to setup properly really. Did you let the rear end cool down when driving it short distances? I doubt this will apply to your truck. If you plan on towing anything with it you will need to be easy on it and let it cool down 3-4 times in short distances. Work hardening creates a lot of heat that's why you need to let them cool down. If they get to hot and the gear oil gets to hot them bad things can happen.

i put about 100miles on it today. let it cool for the first 15 and then the next 30 miles. i didnt really get on it until i had the 100 or so miles on it

Might need new axles soon too.
At least you don't have 4.10's! I was getting 3000+ RPm at 60 MPH.
