Finished Truck- for now
Well, Ive been working on ths truck for a while now but i finally got it close to how i want it. Now I am working on motor, transmission, and rear end. It now has a 500hp 377 which i built 3 months ago. Rebuilding trans right now, and putting 4 links and tubbing it in the future. I just wondering what yall think. I have lots more pics but i dont have time to scan them right now.
If the pic doesnt work ill try to fix it.

the engine is a 400 small block destoked to a 377. The motor is completely roller, and has aluminum heads, intake, and holley 750 double pumper. .600" max lift cam in it. I havent had it on a dyno yet but my dad friend drag races and is very knowledgeable with motors and drove my truck. He said i porbaly have 500 at the rear wheels.

Hey c10-377,
I was just wondering how much you lowered your truck? It has a stance that is similar to what I want for mine. Also what did you use to lower it (i.e. springs/spindles)? Thanks |

Did you drive it ugly with a wailin' motor in it? That's always fun to beat some one in a POS looking ride Quote:

definitely a nice looking truck. My dad has a 3.0 Ranger with a 5 spd, and it's not too bad for a Ferd! It gets i the low 20's around town. I'd definitely pefer 500hp though!

I'm never goin to sell my truck it is my first love, ive had this since 1990. So ive had this truck since i was 4 or 5 now im 19 so. Cause my parents just had it in the yard and said it was mine to dive when i got older so i fixed it up and have been mowing yards since i was 11 to pay for everything. Everything on the truck is paid for by me. Im proud of that, not like those other kids who drive nice new trucks or cars that their parents bought them.

Ah, the Ranger beats my buddy's 3 cylinder, Geo Metro. I swear that car feels like its powered by a single Squirrel. They put one of those little guys on a wheel and let him chase a nut on a string, that he can't catch. When ya kick the passing gear in, the computer sends (or vac) a signal to drop another nut to make the little guy run faster. One of my brother's friends had one too. Poor guy lost compression in one cylinder and ended up driving it around on two cylinders. 0-60 in about 5 or 6 miles.

Man, I don't know what then, there's a Geo Metro in Culver with a rod knock that can keep up with the Delta, and that's a 17 second ride. if it was healthy, it'd be in the 16's I'd bet. Then again, it's a manual, and he beats that like a $2 whore, I'd bet it sees 8,000 RPM in every gear. You ever see a metro do a burnout? Talk about funny! Rev it to 6,000 RPM and dump the clutch. You hear a clutch smack, then the weeny little motor starts roasting the tires. hahahahaha, with the parking brake on, he can sit there at 6500 RPM all day and smoke the balonies.
Then again, he's a crazy mofo, so whatever. At one point, he claimed to have the fastest daily driver in town (it's a small town, nobody cared). That was before the rod knock. Then I blew him away with the delta, and he shut up. This is the same guy that bored a V6 chevy in an 80's monte carlo .060 over, threw on EFI and drag raced it NA. Crazy bastard thought that 14's with that was fast. *sigh*
