Brake Booster interchange???

Hi all I converted my manual brakes to power brakes this weekend. After all that work my pedal is harder to push than before. I suspect that the booster is bad. (It was used) What vehicles will interchange boosters as I want to go to the wrecker on Tuesday (It will be warm. 0 celcius) I don't have the funds to buy a new one at the moment. How much is a new one?

My question is what vehicle can I steal a booster from that will bolt onto the truck. It is a 71 by the way.

Please help!!!

My gut feeling is that a booster from a 73 through 80ish would bolt right on. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Is your truck 1/2 or 3/4 ton, 2wd or 4x4?

I'm using a booster of of a 78 Monte carlo on my 72 3/4 ton 4x4. It's been years since I put it on. I'm pretty sure it was a bolt on deal but sometimes my memory lies to me...

It's really not in my budget right now, but what would you be asking for it?

Hey JHickson ... what kind of "coin" do you want for your ECE disc/disc booster?

Send me a PM.

Thanks!
