Track bar question.
I am in the process of drop spindles, disc brakes, maybe lowering blocks as well in rear. Plan on making some improvements to the truck this spring.
My question is the rear of the truck has been lowered 5 inches last summer, not really to my liking, want to drop a bit more. I have a track bar on the truck now, it seems to fit, but at a wicked angle. I read a add for an adjustable track bar and it said for trucks where the original no longer fits. Will I be ok with the original, if my fits but at a wicked angle? Should I measure the wheels and fenders to make sure the rear end is centered, not sure how to test this. As usual appreciate any help I can get. Thank you. |

If I remember correctly with a drop of 5" or more, you have to use an adjustable panhard bar (track arm). I bet if you were to measure the rear now, that it would not be centered.
Good luck.

Early Classic has a very nice kit for relocating the panhard bar. Comes with a new
adjustable bar. I have one on my truck that came with the full 4/6 inch drop kit. http:\www.earlyclassic.com ------------------ John Fabris john.fabris@autodesk.com 1967 C10 SWB FleetSide Web Page 1971 K5 Blazer 2WD (basket case, but give me two year or so.) |

Look at a Mazda RX7. They have a really cool kind of cantilever track bar that would be great for something really low, or something on bags. Sorry can't remember what years.
