The $%#%$# thing RUNS!!
Finally after 2 months of being ticked off and not in a mood to work on it, I made the 87' run today. Makes alot of differance to have gas in the tank
In my defense, I was in a huge hurry to get everything done and running before christmas and was at my wits end with the damn thing. First the manifold I had hot-tanked leaked anti-freeze--back apart it comes, then NO crank--found a bad battery cable, but it took longer than it should have, then NO spark--finally found the HEI wired broken (keep in mind that this used to be a FI truck with all the electrical goodies) Now I have Crank, Spark----still no fire....recoged the dizzy all the way around and said the heck with it. I put it on the trailer to haul it home for christmas and the 69 breaks down so I take the car home and put both my pos's in the garage and forget it. Took me about an hour today and I had it running, leak checked and tuned runs great!!! Now to go get license tomm and test drive and then it will be FOR SALE!!! Maybe now I can get motivated to fix the 69'!!!
