How much longer than stock are these shacles (front leaf)? - Pic

below is a picture.

I'm trying to figure out how much these shacles are adding to the lift of the front end. If you have stock shacles still, please measure them and let me know how long (either holes on-center or end to end)

Just guessing but they look to be a couple inches longer than my stock ones. If you lift the rear of the spring like that won't it affect your driveshaft angle and your steering? Looks like a good cheap way to gain a bit of lift. I won't be around my blazer till Saturday. If no one has measured for ya by then, I'll measure mine and post it for ya. Good luck!!

Yeah, that is what I was thinking too. This was done by one of the POs..... you should see the missmatch springs that were on it before I changed'em out.

Ok, I'll post a picture.... just toooo funny. The ones on the left were what I took off.

I'm not positive, but I think the stock shackels go up, not down. I'm at work now, but if I get a chance to run out to the parking lot, I can take a look at my Blazer and see.

Thanks

I guess I was wrong. Maybe I'm thinking about the rear shackels?

Stock shackles are 4" center to center. Most folks won't run over 1" extended because it throws your driveline out the wrong direction. That's my.02 cents worth.

4" c to c is correct for stock shackles. I have 6 1/2" shackles on mine with a 2 degree shim on the bottom of the leaf pack. The shackle gives a 1 1/4 of lift from stock. The lift is only half of the difference because your only lifting one side of the spring.
