DJM 3 inch drop spindles?

I have installed the DJM 3 inch drop spindles and now it is time to do the brakes. My brake line from the caliper to the frame seems to be to short. The middle section that attaches to the upper control will not reach and it feels very tight. Has anyone had this problem before?

I have 3" Belltech spindles on mine. I had to tweak the metal end of the hose that attached to the caliper to get everything to fit. If I remember correctly I had to put a sharper bend in it so it would clear the control arm. The spindles have moved the caliper closer to the upper control arm.

I just finished my brakes last weekend and I also had the same problem with my 3" drop spindles and all I did was put the line in a vice and make a sharper bend to accomidate for lowering it.

I think I had to loosen it up where it attaches to the control arm to get a little more slack. Like others said, I had to bend the lines a little, too. I have Western Chassis 2.5" spindles. I just made sure when I was done tht there was plenty of room for everything to move up and down.

Yeah, I had to chisle it from the upper control arm for more slack.
When I went to put new brakes on, my inner pad would not fit in between the spindle and rotor. I had to loosen the spindle nut, put the pad in, and re-adjust the wheel bearing. Just curious if anyone else ran into that. DJM by the way

Did you push the piston back into the caliper? You have to do that whenever you install new brake pads.

Yeah, I definatly pushed it in all the way, I thought that was my problem at first too. But then I realized that I couldn't even fit the pad in there alone without the caliper. It seems like DJM has a lot of unnecesary material that can be cut away in certain spots.
At one point I was thinking that maybe I was sent the spindles for the 1" rotors by mistake.
But, like I said, I did get it figured out by having to loosen up the spindle nut and pulling the rotor out a little then putting it back.
