Rear leaf, lowering front hanger question
I've been looking for 2" lowering front hangers for a '72 rear leaf spring truck but have been unable to find them. Does anyone know if they are available and if so where they got them.

You can get a 4" front hanger/ shackle for the 73 & later trucks.....but I dont think you can get em for the 67-72 leaf (red headed step child trucks). I did an axle flip on my longhorn, & 1/2ton pcs....the spring hangers were also moved on the frame to get the "stance" where I liked it. that is the only 1/2 ton longhorn I know of.....(not factory tho ) 69L

Did you have to notch the frame with the flip kit? I don't want to notch the frame but I'm afraid with a flip kit I'll have to in order to prevent the axle tubes from slamming into the frame on bumps.

On my GMC leaf spring chassis (before I switched to coil spring chassis) I raised the whole front spring mount up 1.5" or 2" on the frame. Then I lengthened the rear hangers by the same amount and took out a couple of the leaves. I remember I had to notch one of the bed supports for clearance.
