A/C lines
This is probally a stupid question but here goes, did GM ever put the a/c compresor on the pasinger side of the engine on the 73-87 trucks? And did they ever do it with the small compresor like is used on the 88+ trucks?

Yeah, my a/c compresor is on the passinger side and the lines are way to long and plus they won't bolt to the compresor.

I don't think I've ever seen the compressor on the passenger side of a 73-87 GM truck.
I have most of the brackets (and accessories) from a 88-91 Blazer/Sub that moves the short compressor to the passenger side along with a serpentine belt setup. I don't know, but maybe you could find a reasonable place to have them custom-make a couple of A/C hoses to fit your set-up and handle the R-134a.

something to think about is if you are using a small block chevy engine look for a serpintine setup, the a/c compresser is on the passenger side IE (82-92 firebird/camaro)
