Longhorns ?
Are all longhorns one tons? Saw one for sale, the guy wanted WAY to much, 6500 bucks. Just didn't know if they all came as 1 tons.

No, Longhorns also came in 3/4 ton. Only the 9 foot long step side trucks were all 1 ton.

the one ton longhorns have lower production numbers than the 3/4 ton longhorns, and the 68 one ton is a pretty rare bird.

Ok now I´m confused let me get it straight, mine is a 68 6 in L with a 4 speed manual and has 8 lug wheels with a 9 foot bed but its not stepside so it 3/4 or 1 ton.
Baffled??? |

nope...check your vin # to see if its 3/4 or 1 ton.

Mine is a 1/2 ton......bet you wont find another one like her tho As posteded , the 3/4 truck was the common one, 1 ton not so common, 1/2 ton..........lets just say some old man had a couple wild hairs left 69L

I think i might be startin to think like that crazy old man...been considerin going light duty on the underside.
But not untill I get every pennys worth of the 250 buck I spent on my one ton brakes. |

Yeah,these are just the "last" of the 9-footer StepSides.I liked when they came with single Budd-type rims in earlier years.

that 4 means cab and pick up bed, if it was the model number, then it would be a stepside code.
