I really hate the way dirt and dust stick to the back hatch so bad. Anyone have a pic of a rear air deflector on one of our blazers. And whats a good low profile one if so.

Has anyone installed a rear hatch wiper/washer?

The rear wiper system should not be that hard I was looking at useing some old chevy electric motors the mount above the windshild.. I have not got to mock up but just been thinking about it.. May be this will help ya out.

So know one has used a rear deflector to aid in keeping rear glass clean?

JCWhittney would be the place to find a rear deflector. Maybe one off an S10. You'd have to mount it somewhat low so the hatch could open freely.

The '73-up Blazers had factory rear deflectors. Not sure if they'd fit since they didn't have to worry about a hatch...

The pics aren't close-ups, but here's the original unit on my 72 CST. If I get time I could probably get some closer shots.

I hate to say it but you may be able to retrofit one from and s-10 blazer seems like they had em mounted on the hatch glass though.

I had thought about attempting a rear wiper and air deflector then my trans devolped a real small leak at the gasket. the back hatch and tailgate were pitch black. Point I am getting at is just like the debate about exhaust fumes sucking back up in the hatch. Most of the dirt travels from the bottom up and not the top down as you might think. I have a suburban Z-71 with the big cargo rack that has the large roller pin for a canoe sitting right at the back and that window is always dirty. I am not sure you would get the results you might expect. Let us know how it goes
