Does this look like a dual pattern 200r4, or just BOP? The seller says it came from a Monte Carlo with a 4.3 but I only know of the Chevy pattern 4.3

From what I understand the THM200 looks alot like the TH200r4 and I was wondering if anybody can Id this pi as a dual pattern 200r4??

Well, yes, the Chevy Monte Carlo could have a 4.3. Most, not all, 200 4R's have multi-pattern, meaning both BOP and Chevy patterns. 700R4's only have Chevy patterns.

I got ya on that, but can you tell if the tranny pictured is a dual pattern?

Just called my friend with the salvage yard. He says ALL 200 4Rs are multi-pattern. I'm thinking any more that 6 holes is multi-pattern.

That is inacurate....MOST are dual pattern...but not all.
That 4.3 converter will give you like a 2500 stall behind a stok-stockish small block.

BOP should have a dip on the top of the case, that one doesn't look like it does, so my vote if for dual pattern.
