My old truck
Thought some of you guys may like to see this. This used to be my truck. When I had it it was a stock 71 hugger orange Cheyenne w/ 350/350 PS, PB, air, factory tilt, tach etc. etc.. It now has air ride, an LT1, 4L60E, vintage air, smoothed and shaved all over. The interior is awesome. It is not my cup of tea but it is an awesome truck. A lot of effort was put into it and I have to appreciate the amount of work that was done. It was finished when I sold it as far as I was concerned LOL. Some of the pics are not too good, my camera was acting up and these are all of the shots I have,
Mike

That is a very nice truck. By your stats it looks like you also have a nice truck. Post some pics of yours.

Beautiful Truck. Only thing I would have done different is leave the front bumper.

Yeah I would have left both bumpers, but to each his own. When I sold it it had all new GM trim on it and I was able to buy it and a lot of the goodies back for my truck so it wasn't a total loss. My truck has been plastered all over here but here are a few more shots of it.

What size tires are you running with your 4/6 drop?
I agree with you on the front bumper it definitely should have been left on there.

I have 7" wheels (Torque thrust 11's) on front w/ 245-60's and 8's on the back with 275-60's. I did it just like Dave Clark's Red and white truck, (the guy that owns Early classic enterprises) and was in all the mags a few years ago.

Yellow69, my buddy victoryauto that you see on here from time to time is putting together a really sweet 71 stepside. It is also hugger orange with a big block. He has not bought his drop kit yet but we are going to pull my wheels tires off and put on his to see how it looks to help him decide. He is not wanting a rubber rake and wants the same size tires all the way around. When we do I'll post some photos. He is leaning toward the 275's all the way around. He does not want the big wheels and wants to stay with 15's. I kinda wish I had went bigger but I like the REAL old school look cause I'm an old guy. I also think he wants the 4/6 drop. Whatever he does these trucks look good with anything on them. As Joe Diffey said, I'd rather set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill than to trade it for a Coupe Deville.

I have 17's and I'm planning on putting 235/50's up front and leaning towards the 275/50's on the back. The reason I'm using 235's is because the 4 17's that I bought already has 235's on them and they're in pretty good condition. Didn't want them to go to waste.

That will look real good, may give it a little rake. Lots of guys like them to sit level but I gotta have the rake.
