It's a sweet looking Blazer with only 9k mi? Does look extremely clean but I find some oddities. I think this has been on ebay twice before. At that time the guy had it in or near Palm Springs, CA. I think he had it listed to start at 10k with a reserve. I had emailed him back then and he told me he was looking for 25k. It says it has a double wall top. Could you have special ordered a double wall top in '72. I thought '72s were single wall tops. Underside of the hood is painted the same as the body. I thought under hood was always left black. Front seats are "Hand Tooled Black Leather seats". They look like just regular old naugahyde with scroll patern. And were is the protecto plate with the original owners manual? The glove box sticker notes an AM radio, but it has the AM-FM in it, not that that's bad. If the radio is factory, shouldn't it say AM-FM on the glove box sticker?

I like it ! I am curious what it will finially go for. I`m not a big fan of speaker holes in the doors and rear panels, but other than that it is very complete.

Looks like a very nice truck. I know there were doublewall tops on some 72s, but I don't know what the reasons were. Probably left over stock from '71. The underside of the hood on my very original '72 is painted the body color - along with the firewall (which still has the factory markings on it and the build date on the inner fender).

The seats look like the stock covers to me. It might be a dealership selling it and they might be clueless. On the other hand, it is hard to tell from the pictures, so they might be leather with the original patttern stamped in to it . It is possible that the AM radio was swapped out for the AM/FM at the dealer.

There are a few oddities, but overall, that is a very nice truck. If I was looking to buy a fully restored Blazer, I would definately take a look at that truck.

I thought the disc brake stickers on the tailgate was a 71 only thing. The numbers on the odometer look a bit odd, they kinda look skinny or something.
Very nice truck none the less.

Still a very nice restoration.

Kind of an odd story too, not too sure if I would believe it.

The previous owner was a really big executive with General Motors and liked the older, full convertible so much that he purchased this one from a Southern California auto parts store with 30 some thousand miles and had it taken to the New Jersey GM Plant to have the truck totally taken apart and put back with new everything except the Original 350 V8 engine and original transmission."

It looks like a nice resto, but not the quality I would expect from a factory rebuild. There are quite a few scratches on the undercarrage and some pitting on the center ac vent and AM/FM Radio. My guess is it is being sold by a dealer or broker and he is embellishing the story and the quality a little.

I just seen this on ebay. I was thinking about it, and this is what I was wondering about. I was looking at it as a perpective buyer, so this is what I seen, not to critisize but noticed this stuff. Just went to 10K now.
What is it with the lower front chrome pieces? They look lower than the others. The outer grill looks strange too. Sits low in front too. Flaw in front of drivers rocker. Tilt, tach, Am-Fm, tow hooks were all added.
This looks like a real nice blazer, I'd buy it if I had the $$,$$$.00. I'd love to have it and its my COLOR!!!!!!!!!

That clears up some of the things I noticed. I too really like this Blazer. Does anyone else recall it being on ebay before? Still has 9 plus days to go and already I can't afford it. Drat.

I remember a white 72' with the same story, on ebay about the factory frame off restore.
Has anyone ever heard of a "factory frame off restore" on any car?
I live in Ft Worth so I'll track it down and report next week.

Yep, very sweet blazer.

Not sure if I like the fully polished grill though, the black it has from the factory looks better to me.

Has the wrong passenger side seat belt retract too, it's out of a truck.

Where did the '72 = single wall top come from? My '72 has a double wall. My buddy's 72 has a double wall. I have seen probably 10 '72s with double wall tops. I think a lot of blazers here in the north had them, even in 72.

My misunderstanding I guess. Was it that a single wall was only available in '72 and you had the option of getting a double wall or single wall in '72?
