Will a sawzaw cut exhaust?
If I use a metal cutting blade (I think 18 tooth), will that cut an exhaust pipe? I need to shorten my head pipe some.
Thanks! |

Thanks! I picked up 2 new blades today from Home Depot so I'll give it a try in the morning. I just still can't figure out if the tail pipe behind the muffler goes over or under the rear axle when installed. This is a 63 C10. Would you know?

I've even cut frames w/a Sawzall. Tailpipe should go over rear axle. Brian

Yep, I used a sawzall to change out the muffler on my 4runner, and put a flowmaster on......it helps if you can hold it to cut down on vibrations......
The pipe goes over the rear axel, at least on my 64.....

Thanks! I just cut the exhaust pipe this morning. Once the blade got into the metal, it was like a hot knife in butter! I'm still trying to figure out how the whole pipe goes over.
Hey Chad, on your 64 does the tail pipe come out the driver side or passanger side? This will help me get it right. Warren |
