You mean the local glass shops want to charge 100 bucks to ship it in or the classic truck dealers. I went to my local glass shop (in Canada no less) and they charged me a very fair price, the glass itself isn't that expensive you have to buy the 40 dollar seal or whatever it costs but the glass was available locally. They even brought in the seal for me thats the only piece they had to wait on, not sure where they got it but it was the same price as a truck dealer and i didn't have to pay shipping on it.

The local shops want 500 total for the glass and seal and instolation. The classic dealers want 200 for windsheild + 100 for shipping.

Here there is quite a bit of competition in the auto glass market. I called around & most were around $200 installed, Truumph was the cheapest, two guys came to my house & installed it in about an hour, $165 w/tax. I usually install them myself but w/s alone was about $100. Brian

Thats a deal. When I painted my 64 I took the glass out and bought a new seal. The glass guy wanted $60 just to put it in!

$500 is awful steep for a 64 to 66. I can get one installed in my 63 locally here for $320 including the seal.
