seat cover help
I have new covers and was curious how they attach. Are similar fasteners/clips like used on the original upholstery used ?
Thanks, Bret

Yes, Get the "hog rings" and pliers in a kit from one of the board members or maybe you can find them in a local auto parts or upholstery store.

Are these reprodcution covers for buckets? If so could you take some pictures of the insides and outside of them for me? I also need to know the size of the fabric inserts in the middle.
My Jimmy needs the plain jane bucket seat covers and since they dont reproduce them I have to make my own or buy some repros with the cloth inserts, rip out the middle and sew in the correct plain jane vinyl pattern inserts. |

I used cable ties when I put my covers on. They are much easier to use than the hog rings.

I got hog rings and pliers from ebay. I bought elcheapo pliers and they did the job just fine. (about $5 bucks)
I recently did my first upholstery job (for my 66 Impala) and it was a very rewarding experience. I had alot of fun and saved alot by doing them myself. And best of all, everytime I see them, I'll know I did them! Here is how the front bench turned out. They were PUI covers by the way, perfect fit.
