Here is the situation,

I'm in the process of installing 4 wheel disc brakes on my 70 c 10.
I want to replace the hard lines in the system, do any of you know of a prebent kit I could buy for this application?

Could I use reproduction lines for the original 4 wheel drum setup?
My original lines are very rusty and I want to replace them.

Original material or stainless steel? I plan on staying with manual brakes, just 4 wheel disc.

you'll have to go with an adjustable proportioning valve,so you might not be able to use the original prebent kits. i'd use stainless cause i like the shiney no maintenance they offer

i have a master cylinder with a porportioning valve for a 4 disc system, so i should be ok with that.

has anyone worked stainless as far as bending and cutting? is it harder to work with than the original tin material?

Stainless is very difficult to work with (much more difficult than standard steel lines) but worth the effort in my opinion.

Did you flare the lines your self and did you have any problems with them sealing?

I've done some custom work on my brake lines. I ordered replacement stainless lines from inline tube. They fit about 80%. I had to change the lines around becomes of my headers as well. Header laid right on the brake line. I hope you can use original lines with newer disc set up cuz thats what I am doing. I've talked to some guys at ECE and they used all original stuff on that 72 they built with rear discs. I've changed around the rear most section of the lines for the rear brakes. That stainless is pretty tough to bend and flare. I was able to flare it, but i can't tell if they sealed up or not, still haven't got fluid in it yet. I think i'll be trying to put in the fluid and bleed the system in the next couple weeks, maybe this weekend. If you see me put a post on here cussing, then you know how it is. I'll be putting up some pics as I work on it though.

What kind of discs are you putting on?

I bought the kit from CPP out of california, which is 73-87 truck front discs and the rear is the caddy deville setup - that is what they told me when I bought them.
