Gov-lock and 3.73 gears

See attached pics. Gov-lock differential and GM 3.73 gears. Gov-lock is like new and the gears ARE new. I believe the differential is a 4 series (3.73 and numerically higher). But just to be sure I am throwing in a ring gear spacer complete with bolts. The differential has the bearings already pressed on.

$300 for it all plus shipping.

What is a gov-lock?
You're posting this at the wrong time. I'm buying a house right now and can't afford it.

A gov-lock is similar to a posi but instead of being engine torgue activated, it's spead activated. When it senses one wheel turning faster than the other it engages.

How does it hold up in 400+ hp applications?
If a gov-lock is better than a posi I might be interested. But I wouldn't be able to do anything for a few months.
If you are needing to sell this in a hurry, go for it. If not, I'll get back with you around late June.

No doubt there will be some who will bad-mouth a gov-lock, but I've had two of them and had no problem. They probably would not hold up well under full drag race conditions, but I've outgrown that..................

Yeah, I've done a lot of reading about them. They hold up fine on street driven trucks, even ones with mucho power. Fact is, the 12 bolt truck rear end isn't exactly bulletproof. Pretty weak compared to the 12 bolt car. If you're drag racing seriously, you'll end up with a F*rd 9" anyway.

Taking offers, then it's off to ebay.
