Question WTB motor mount towers SD

I am gonna get brave & cross the board lines here. I am looking for the metal pieces that go from top of frame to cross member. the motor mount pads bolt to them. according to Longhorn Man this is the item needed to do a Caddy swap.
would the cost & shipping be reasonable or is it best to sneak away from wife/kids & hit the boneyards?

I have a set too.

Be warned, there are at least two different kinds. I am not sure the exact differences between the two other than their length...but I definately have two different versions...and don't need/can't use one of them.

I can get you dimensions if you like later tonight. JUst trying to save another trucker the grief I already went thru when I purchased mine.

I will sell mine for $20 plus shipping as well.

Learned From Experience

Here's what I did: Thought it would be cool to drop an Olds in my '76 PU. Used to work for Chevy so I knew that they came with Olds diesels, so I went to the first year they made the Olds' and ordered a set of frame mounts. Well, like BB73 said, somewhere around 78-79 they broadened the frame rails and the mounts I got were like 1-2 inches higher and would not work. So all I did was leave the Cutlass (71) lower mounts on the engine, lowered it down in and scribed some holes to drill with the tranny mount bolted down. I'm sure if you use later model Caddy mounts, there are probably a set of holes in the frame mounts that will lineup. If not, get out your drill and make some new ones. Just consider the whole package before you get carried away. IE: Tranny lines, fan and shroud, etc. Remember that you will be dealing with upper, lower,AND frame mounts. Those new mounts are still sitting on a shelf, but I don't want to insult the rest of the guys with how cheap I would sell them for. Besides, you might not even need them. I wish you luck with your adventure, Hot Rod
