Removing Hub
I have a 85 K10 w/10 bolt manual lock out hubs. I need to replace the wheel studs and from what I can see I will have to remove the hub to get them out. I just went over to take it apart, I got the lockout off and took the skrew holding the gear and spring out. Now from this point I see nothing else I can take off to get the hub off.
![]() If you have any idea what Im talking about I could really use some help, and if you have some pictures that would make it easier. (EDIT: My dad just called and said he got it I still may need help later)

There is also a but nut that has to come off then the hub should pull off. I also have a 86 k5 and put new warn hubs on it. If there is no nut best advise would to be get a manul for the truck.

the snap ring that is being referred to is a large snap ring that fits into a groove on the housing. it may be easy to miss because it doesn't look like a conventional snap ring, nor can conventional snap ring pliers be used to remove it. it must be popped out with a pick or small screw driver. once it is out the inner section of the hub will pull out. you can then take off both of the hub nuts, and the outer wheel bearring. the rotor is then ready to come off at which time you can replace your wheel studs.
