pan hard bar question about lowering truck

Does the panhard bar have to be made adjustable when you drop the rear? I was using a cable hoist ran under the rear end and connected to the frame above it to pull the truck down to get an idea of the drop I want. It would only go about 2" and stopped but the snubbers were NOT bottomed out, so I figured the panhard bar was stopping it. any ideas?
Could the rear coils be cut and then bend the end back into the curl for mounting?

No. Adjustable just lets you "tune" the length. Once you adjust it, you never need to again.

^But as you lower the rear it shifts to one side, thats why they made the adjustable bars so you can recenter your rear. With 2-3" you can probably get by without an adjustable bar but any more than that and you start affecting tracking and u-joint and carrier bearing wear.
On the springs how would you recurl them? if you heat them they are DOA.

As I said, once you are recentered, you don't need it to adjust any more. "Adjustable" sounds as if it indicates some kind of ongoing thing. It's not.

Im running a stock bar on a 5" rear coil drop and it seems fine, course it might look different if I was looking at it going down the road.

Easy way to check measure opposite frame rail to backing plate flange for both side and see if they are the same.

Maybe I should have not used the word "adjustable", I should have said does it have to be shortened? See the problem I'm having is when I started to drop the truck down it stopped before it got to the point I wanted. I didn't know if the panhard bar was stopping it or the drive shaft not letting it go down, but something stopped it from going down. Like I said before the rubber stoppers on the rearend still had space between them and the frame and I didn't see anything but the panhard bar and/or drive shaft that could be stopping it.

Your springs are pretty stiff.I think that is the problem You are having.The panhard keeps the rear centered.The only way it would limit the suspension is if the wheel and tire are pressing against the body!
