It's generally accepted that for an all-around posi or limited-slip, to go with an Eaton. There are some cheaper ways to go (not by much), but an Eaton is strong, and it's rebuildable later if it wears out. Other options are an Auburn (I think they have 'em for a 12-bolt), a Powertrax, and an ARB air-locker (not really for a regular street truck). There are other ones out there, but those come to mind. I'd go with the Eaton as that is what most are familiar with installing.

Eaton would be my choice.

Pretty much some part you really need to pay for quality. Tranny and rearends and most the key components of a truck should be GOOD QUALITY stuff...not wats cheapest...itll only break in hte long run. Eaton is a great company. I'd def go with them =D I am looking at a posi unti for my 04 Truck looking at around 450+ for mine =X
