Voltage Gauge Needed, I Think

Looking for a voltage gauge for my '91 Suburban which I believe would be the same from similar trucks with such a gauge. Need one from someone who know the gauge to be good. My dash gauge shows 10 - 11 volts running with front and rear air on, with headlights. With engine off volt/ohm meter shows battery at 12.35 volts. Running the engine, a volt/ohm meter shows 14.15 to 14.25 volts so I would assume the alternator is doing it's thing. Yet when looking at my dash gauge it shows 10+, maybe 11 volts. Lights and air fan do not appear to be affected by a low voltage output. Has to be a gauge problem, right?

I got gauges here from the dashes i parted out that i know worked , i can check accuracy with another meter off the vehic. $14 includes shipping. you'll have to send a pic to all4trux@snip.net because i think the 90-up had a differnt look to them than the 85-86 i have here. DAVID

If you try smacking your dash right by the guage,if it starts showing charge, then its a bad guage...They all seam to do this sooner or later...

Didn't "smack" the dash but tapping on the gauge face did make it come back up 1 or two more volts.

crossy, I got a gauge from a friend who is parting a '91 Burb. Said the gauge worked fine and the price was right, couple cold ones. If the gauge doesn't work out I will get back to you for sure. Thanks for your reply and I will keep ya' in mind.
