Question ? will a 83 body mount up on

Question ? will a 83 long bed 2wd body mount up on a 1975 4x4 frame ?? I have a buddy who want to do this as his 75 is a total rust bucket but runs good and the 4x4 works His 83 is clean as a whistle but it's a 305 and auto tranny are both shot. He got this cleaver Idea when I asked him for help doing mine but mine is 85-87 so I know it will work.
Let me know his 75 is a 4 speed so I assume we can switch over the pedels and such without issues.

Yes it will swap. You will need the removable tranny hump from the '75. Might also want to check with the DMV, this is illegal in places. An '83 and a '75 have the VIN located in different places.

Well I know you can take it to the state and they inspect it and give it a special id # . So I know that part is ok.
so Take the tranny hump and then cut the floor in the 83 and bolt it bdown everything else fits??

You'll have to use 81-87 cab bushings to make the cab set level on the frame. I also used a 2" body lift to help the 2wd cab clear the transfer case.
