Dana 44 Front Spring Plates?
Looking for a pair (right and left side are different) of 4x4 front upper spring plates that are drilled and tapped for a front sway bar. I think the ones I need are from 73-76? I have the earlier 1972 leaf springs and need to stay with the proper width spring plates for that year but with the holes drilled in them. Could use the front sway bar too if any out there.
Thanks, 72longbed |

Mike,
I just left the shop and forgot to measure the width of my new front leaf springs (Damn) ! What I have are the Tuff Country 'EZ Ride' leafs for a 71/72 K20. If you or anyboody knows the stock width of a 71/72, thats what I have. What year truck is your setup off of, and was it on a GM Dana 44 3/4 ton? Can you take some pics of the entire setup for me please? If you don't want to post the pics here, my e-mail address is: suprtuff@fast.net Thanks Mike, 72longbed Last edited by 72longbed; 08-07-2005 at 04:23 PM. |

the set up i checked this morning was a 74 3/4ton with a dana44 its whats left for my dana 60 swap. but i have 10 4x4 parts trucks so i know i can find what your looking for. well i was looking i seen that the 6inch ezride springs on my 74 are only 2 1/2 inch springs and the stock springs are 3 inch.the sway bar you need is for 73-79 or is it the 70-72 bar ? the frame on the 73-79 is wider than the 70-72.

Finally got that measurement for the front leaf springs. They are 2.5" wide, so whoever has the plates with the drilled and tapped holes in them, let me know please. Also could use the sway bar itself and the mounting brackets that go to the front crossmember. (GM might have used the same plate for 2.5" and 3" front leaf springs?? Not sure, but definitely know there is a left and right side for the Dana 44.)
