68 Power assist steering 4 sale
I have a power assist setup (6cyl) on a 68 burb for sale. Burb was not running, so I don't know condition. It is complete as far as I can tell. I would rather not ship, but I will as a last resort. $150 (shipping not included) for pump, brackets, slave cyl., ect. Please respond on the board.

Offers?
Any offers or interest in part of this setup? If not I will be scrapping the power assist next week.

I'm interested, but your asking price is too steep. Mostly need the control valve (that the 4 hoses plug into) but if your gonna scrap it just sell it to me cheap! All of my parts like the hydralic ram etc work fine, and I can send this valve in and have it rebuilt for not much money....

I don't know of any other way other than install, raise front end on jacks and see if the wheels start turning by themselves. If they do, you can pop the dust cap on the valve control and rotate in or out it to balance the pressure going to the hydraulic ram.
Mine is bad (my own fault) and I can't center the wheels using the power steering valve. If I turn on the motor, the wheels start turning all the way to the right. |

I might be interested in the rest of it. I'd like to find a complete set of pulleys and brackets, including water pump pulley. I'm tired of playing the mismatches I've got.

I'll try to check everything out and let you know later. The brackets look a little odd on this one. I think it had a smog pump at one time.

Is the setup mounted on the six now. I'm more interested that the pulleys line up. I've yet to find a complete setup at a wreckers. I've got the pump and teering box from a 70 pick up.
