1967 GMC VIN Decoding information?
I'm looking at a '67 GMC for either parts for my '67 Chevy Custom or for a restoration of its own, and was wanting to see how much info I could get from the VIN.
The older 50's GMC's always seemed to have more information tucked away in their VIN's than the Chevys of the same era did, but so far i've not been able to find any solid info on decoding a '67 GMC Truck VIN. CM159ODPCXXXXA is the VIN.. title says 1/2 ton GMC Pickup. Can anybody help me out? |

It takes a variety of books to figure those type vins out.... you gotta look at how they did say a 1966 vin and then find body styles..and it can be done. Service books is where I started too...then figured it all out.
