Been looking for a 2wd blazer for a while and kind of gave up and settled for this. Got here tonight and I just took the family out for a cruise. This is a bad azz ride. As much a I've been wanting that Blazer, I think this will definately fill the bill.

Nice sub. Now...quickly go out and ditch that air cleaner. I am not knocking the looks, but it is a fire waiting to happen. That sponge cleaner will soak up gas and one back-pop through the carb and it's FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!!
Hate to see such a clean ride go up in flames!!

So, you don't need heat either? I see no hoses there!

I did the same thing; wanted a 2wd Blazer and ended up with a Burb. Now I'm glad I did. That looks like a nice one.

I got mine from these guys. They included the bulbs too. If you don't have lighted side markers you can buy pigtails and hook them up.

Alright, a few more details. Paid 6k.

Paint is nice. Has a couple bubbles and the back hatch needs a littl work. Engine was rebuilt about 8-9k miles ago. Mild Melling cam and Hedman headers in it so it sounds sweeeeeet. Tranny and rear end less than half that. Has a brand new custom headliner and brand new carpet all the way to the back. Runs awesome and rides smooth. I've got ugly baby syndrome right now. As you can see I didn't point out any bad things. Let me drive it for a couple months and we'll get to that.

Thanks for the heads up on the air cleaner, definately don't want a fire.

Heat!!!????? Don't need no stinkin' heat. I live in Yuma, AZ the sunniest place on earth and darn near the hottest. What I will need is the AC though!

Real nice find! Even has the original license plates. Or at least, era correct.

I hope your burb grows out of its shiny shoes. Wrong style for a classic truck and too large diameter, IMO.

If you experience what I have with 1405/6s, you'll eventually want to get rid of that carb with the aircleaner. I hate those carbs.

Really! I have had my 1406 on for several months adn it STILL isn't tuned right....and with no happy medium.

If you decide to ditch the burb, I will swap you a good riding lawn mower or something for it

Looks fine to me. (I agree on the wheels, either pull 'em off, or drop the truck around them!!)

A phone call to Edelbrock will get you some very good tuning info. These things come fat from the factory, they think we all live at sea level, (I live at 6,000ft and had to lean 3-4 jet sizes). They can give you a better idea what to start with and then you can check plugs, etc and fine tune from their. As far as daily driver mild perf these are great carbs. Again my .02 pennies on it.

Since that's the direction it's already headed, this burb will be getting lowered and I agree about the wheels. However, I think I should be able to sell these for a nice down payment on a set of the custom TTII's.

Carb seems fine at this point (aside from a slight vacuum leak), and from the sounds of it, I might want to leave well enough alone. Will change out the filter element though.

Been through 2 of those Carbs didn't like the mech. secondaries, went to Street Avenger ...alot smoother action. Dig the color though....

Cool Burb!! Gotta love that color... gives me motivation to get back working on my 71 ....

I agree with the census on the air cleaner, fire hazard for sure...

One thing I noticed that I feel is dangerous.. the glass fuel filter.. those things can break and things can get ugly real fast!!..

Also it appears to have the crankcase ventilation directy from a breather cap to the carb without a PCV valve.. if you have a sneeze/backfire the gas fumes in the crankcase WILL go "boom"... it will destroy the valve covers.. oil pan gasket.. rear main seal, timing cover seal and the dip stick will put a dent in the hood.. trust me on this one...
