Bump stop bracket
I am doing bags on my 72 Blazer. Do I really need the bumpstop brackets on my lower a-arms. They a really ugly and I thought I would cut them off. Has anybody else cut them off. Tubular arms dont have them.

You'll want something to allow the vehicle to roll safely along in the event of a loss of air or airline failure.
If you cut off the stock one, you need to make something that looks better.... but does the job .

The directions from ART for installing the front bags have you remove the old bumpstop. They supply a new one, but I have seen pictures here that many people build there own custom stop. I have to cut down my ART steering stops to allow the ART bumpstops to work correctly, not sure how I will finish that detail just yet. Currently finishing installing my c-notch.

After looking at ART Strong Arms it appears that the bumpstop bracket is welded to the outside of the lower arm. Looks to me that there is no way that the truck could drop enough to contact that bumper with the crossmember. How would I measure how tall I need? Just tall enough so that the crossmember hits the bumpstop before the bags completely compress.? Should it sit on the bumpstop with the bags airred out?
