My 81 Stepside leans towards the drivers side badly. About 1.5 to 2 inches lower? What causes this? Don't say that last owner was an elephant either-LOL.

As silly as it sounds it's possible that the previous ownwer was a big ol boy and weakend the springs. Where does it sag? Is it the front or rear? Have you checked the rear spring pack for broken leafs? Have you checked the front suspension for worn out control arm bushings?

Give us a bit more info and maybe we can help you out better....

this is funny, but mine is like that because the drivers side gas tank didn't work and was used for many years like that and the pass side sits about 1 inch lower

i dont know if this apllies to full size trucks but it does to s10's its called the chevy lean and iv been noticing it often here lately

1) they all lean one way or the other. Go to the dealer with a tape measure and pick a truck, any truck. The assembly line folks call it "build tolerance." I call it "do a better job, people!"

2) N2TRUX already said it... big guy, rarely passengers, voila.

BTW, this gets "worse" when you lower a truck because the 1-2" lean is now closer to the horizontal line of the ground... so it's easier to spot.

It is also contributed to springs settling. There is no car that is exactly symmetrical. EVERYTHING leans, especailly over time.
