how to ID the V6 in a 67
how do i tell if its the 351 or the 305?

So what engine do you have?
The V-6 engine has the model and Serial number stamped on the top of the block just forward of the right head. This number will help you know what size & series engine you have, as the displacement and model are the first part of the number. Sample number, 305E 387218. ![]()

there should be a number behind that 351. If it's a 351E you have a darn good engine. Similiar to the GMC "Magnum" V6 - the heads have much larger ports and breathe alot more (so I've been told)
