Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
I hate PayPal...I refuse to use it.......
I just selected your option to pay without a paypal account and that system is forcing me to login(because I was once a user and still recognizes my email address for payment) or I cannot pay with my CC.... This is another of the many reasons I hate paypal! Josh, I am just a mingler on your site but it would be appreciated if there were a better way to pay other than the paypal site... My frustrations continue to build with paypal...

I sent a message to Josh so he can take care of this. Sorry for the inconvience. Please be patient. It's the price we have to pay for those that abused the classified system......

97silv5.7.....
I have already read that insert before, but thanx! I totally understand..... I suppose a different approach to this would be something to consider. I have had M/O's disappear in the USPS mail, and even fraudulantly reprinted. It's not our fault, I know...There are so many crooks in this world that it affects those of us who try to live within the system accordingly!

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
I have all of the paperwork here on a Western Union M/O that was duplicated on a computer reusing the bank digits on the bottom and then reinserting the payee info and signatures!

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
I cant imagine J. has a merchant account thru the CC companies, thus the paypal needs; Ive used BidPay, which is a subsidiary of Western Union.
But, the CC companies should better provide appropriate answers to this for him..... ********************************************************** Just for kicks, I decided to login to my BofA site to view my account and discovered a way to pay with my account thru their services called: "Bill Pay" here is a link that briefly discusses this... http://www.bankofamerica.com/onlineb...0520000000a584 If J. was able to be listed as a payee thru an account, then this may be an alternative. This is even an "httpS" link that is secure.... Again, this is a suggestion, by no means am I attempting to oversee your intentions JOSH, but it's a sample suggestion of possibly many ways to make this an easier solution for all!

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
atm?
(ahhh, nevermind, I had to translate the meaning; at the moment!...sorry) Nearly all of us have a checking account with an FDIC secured banking institution. I would bet all online banking is "httpS" secure in all payment transactions, otherwise, online hackers would steal everone's account info! For example, I pay my cell bills, CC bills etc thru my banks site. Some arent setup for this, but I would bet if you got that far with paypal, you wouldnt be too far away from being approved to do the same, and it's not like you have only been around for a month or so; you have a legitimate established site here that should be proof enough for those lending instituitons... just suggestions, but better than none at all!

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
Just a q, not trying to start any crap, but why not just write the man a check and drop it in the mail? Hell, honestly i normally send cash, and have yet to have an issue. I know it's wrong and you aren't supposed to mail money, but you aren't supposed to speed or spin your tires either.
I personally despise pay pall and i won't use them, but 99% of the time there is a way around it, and if that's the only way they want my money, then too bad for them becouse they won't get it. Like I said, not tryin to stat crap, but from here, it looks like you are making it harder than it has to be, and asking for more work out of the overworked web master. maybe it's just me. |

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
Yo! Longhorn brother.....
Clearly, if one can duplicate a Western Union M/O, why would one want to freely give away one's personal checking account numbers???? Internet privacy, pins, passwords, ID theft, and of the such is exactly what hackers want in order to penetrate personal information! We all work hard to earn a respectful earning! Some of us abide by the law; While others choose to cross that line. We make conversations alike these a daily current event and problems like these would never have been the case..... as we should never have had to deal with such lengthy, unwarranted security procedures had we all been honest and trustworthy individuals! This is the future of internet purchases, as even employers desire us to use online services to unemploy people all in the name of Greed! Where is John Wayne when you need him to bring us all back to reality!

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
On original question:So,we have to pay(join) to post a desire to buy. But,can buy all day long, right? But,without joining can we respond and sell to those looking?(I have an envelope with Josh`s address on it in front of me,now)Just curious and wanting to understand the new system.BTW,I prefer handing payments into payee`s hands. No flaw in that system.I got to thinkin`and, dang,Texas is a long way!

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
special-K- You are correct. You have to be a subscriber to post a "For Sale" or "Wanted to Buy" ad in the classified section. Anyone can respond to the ad. This still allows anyone to sell, but it is advised that you try to by from subscribed sellers.
It's a small form of protection, but it's better than what we had before. RPOZ11 We really appreciate your concern with security. You are correct that people trust the internet with way too much personal information. As stated above your best bet is a postal money order. They are not 100% safe either, but are still about the best there is. Let us know if you need further assistance.... |

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
Thank you all very much for the above contributions. My sentiment is like the LONGHORN MAN..(s)....... Not to change the subject. Was on my mind for a while. Looking for a 409 cid from earliy 1960 s and ROP Z 11 brought back that memory of that Engine. Something with the 409 in 1960 s had to do with ROPZ11. Was a first I believe is right .Had a couple of 4 barrel carbs . Was a very powerful set up during its time? Anyone know of this ?

Re: Is a Wanted post free or a charge to list?
67c10step: Great big THANK YOU! This was a great time for Chevy. Hammer time to the FORDs . Seen this engine in a 61 Bubble top Impala ( probably not original equipment for that Impala) Was the best and fastest car for a couple of country boyz to build in a Rural farm county in Kansas. Great memory Jack shares on his site........Thanks again..............Larry
