I know I'm gonna catch some crap...
but I've decided to turn the GMC pickup into a 72 chevy pickup (for now). Before you GMC fans get a rope to hang me for being a hypocrite, it's only because I am gonna put the GMC's cab and front clip on the 4x4 blazer frame I recently acquired. You can't beat a GMC grill on a lifted truck IMO.
It will also give me the added benny of the clip matching the cab again.

Re: I know I'm gonna catch some crap...
I totally support your decision. Hard to beat the look of a 71-72 chev.

Re: I know I'm gonna catch some crap...
Hey man... i got something for you.
. . . Just messin... it's OK since you are putting the GMC nose on another truck...which will uptimatly be the better looking truck hands down. This will give you a chance to make all things right in the universe by locating a GMC clip for the GMC truck now. It's all good, although, personally I'd have gone for the 68 nose over the booring 71/72...but that's my opinion. |

Re: I know I'm gonna catch some crap...
I'm going with the 72 because I have the clip on hand already, from a parts truck I bought for the cab. The drivers side fender has a dent in it, but I'm gonna try to hammer it out.
BTW 86 swb I don't know who you have me confused with, my name is Krue not Randy?

Re: I know I'm gonna catch some crap...
Well at least the frame is still GMC. . You don't have to much GMC left on that ol guy. Welll the bed came from a 84 GMC, if you ever stop swaping truck pieces around you could put it on.
So will the swap be done by Friday when I am up there?

Re: I know I'm gonna catch some crap...
I don't know, I gotta clean the yard a little before you get here, so I don't know if I'll have time. The fenders I have are bent up a little, so it won't look any better, but that's the way it goes when you're just a poor ol' redneck.
