Need help with A/C firewall...
Hi Guys and Gals,
I need a big favor from anyone that has a factory Air truck. There are two holes that I need pictures and a description of what is running thru those holes. I have circled both holes in this picture (actually, this picture is of a non air truck, so the hole on the curved part is not there), can someone get me a good picture of both holes with what is coming thru them? THANKS!!!!! |

Re: Need help with A/C firewall...
Looking at your picture, it looks like there are two vacumn lines, and one bundle of wires coming out of the three hole grommet. Thanks, that gives me a better idea of what is going on.
The upper hole should have the long cable from the A/C controls coming out of it... |

Re: Need help with A/C firewall...
The wires coming out of the lower hole look to be a ground wire and a wire to the fan. The upper hole like you said is the cable that comes from the a/c controls.

Re: Need help with A/C firewall...
I can get you a picture of a stripped A/C firewall. The 2 trucks I have with A/C are buried in the back of the shop. I just brought home a stripped cab and frame , so i could take some very clear pix of that firewall.
PM me your email and I will send. Steve |

Re: Need help with A/C firewall...
Another Question, in the picture posted by Chevymaz, it appears that the wiring harness for the compressor comes out of the hole that is on the slope of the tranny hump part of the filewall, where on the firewall does the wire for the blower motor come out of?

Re: Need help with A/C firewall...
the wire bundle you see coming out of the lower hole by the vacuum lines is the blower motor wire. The wire bundle rolled up in the pic that go th the compressor come thru on the drivers side of the firewall. I can get get you a pic of where they come thru this afternoon if you need it.

I cobbed this off a thread just the other day.
It shows the reverse angle, from the inside, but I think it is what you are looking for.
