New Guy, Odd Truck, Where Do I Post?
So, new guy here from Newark, Ohio. I have a 1959 GMC Bread Truck (Step Van) ...it is not a pick up truck, so I do not know where to post questions. I would like to find an owner's manual, perhaps some advertising that featured this truck. I am not yet certain what I want to do with the beast, but it has potential for many fun things. It runs well, and gets a lot of looks! Any help out there? Thanks.

Re: New Guy, Odd Truck, Where Do I Post?
Welcome from Kansas. Can't help with the manual or the advertising but it's a neat old vehicle. I remember the driver delivering bread to the local grocery store when I was growing up and driving a van like that and it said "Sunbeam" bread on it. There was a Sunbeam bakery in Topeka and the van was blue and yellow. Good luck and welcome to the board.

Welcome to the board. The 55-59 boards would be the best bet I think, that truck is cool.

I would lower it and turn it into the hottest tailgating vehicle to go to cruise ins or rod runs, Or you could put in a generator, sink, microwave and bed for the hottest custom camper.

Re: New Guy, Odd Truck, Where Do I Post?
The best source I know of for a manual is: Faxon Auto Literature in Riverside,
Calif. Their toll-free number is 1-800-458-2734. If anyone could dig up a manual for that rig, my money's on them. Good luck. Strangely enough I looked at a '63 Chevy Breadtruck that someone was selling here in San Diego just last Saturday. However, yours looks brand new compaired to the one I looked at. That buggy was BEAT!!
