Guys i really need your help

BEFORE I START I AM IN NO WAY ADVERTISING NOR TRYING TO SELL THIS TRUCK TO BOARD MEMBERS AND NO PM'S FOR PARTS OR TO BUY IT WILL NOT BE REPLYED TO!!! that said i have a 85 chevy pickup that i am going to place on the market soon. It is in rough shape Frame and body wise. I have rebondoed the rear fenders above and almost all around the wheels wells(lets just say there s alot of plastic in there). Also i have primed in brown rust proof primered them. #1 is there any tips to make the finish smooth? This will also be painted in the "back yard"*(COLOR REMEMBER I AM NEW AT PAINTING AND IT WILL NEED TO BE HIDE MY LACK OF EXPERANCE iam not trying t deceave who ever buys it i just want it to look okay) so were can i get the tan aside from GM? I am on a tight budget and want to make it look good agian so some one can get a okay looking driver. Dumb me (i bought it with the intent of reairing it but it is too far gone and patch panles are not worth the work.) #2 after the cab the trucks frame rails are very flakey should i try to grind them and spray paint it or should i just let it alone? The cab and front are in good shape but then agian i need to some how fix the door bottoms (bondo). Well guys what i am really asking is how far should i go with this truck. It will not be done well but i hope it will look good enough. Any tips?

REmember this is not forsale at the present time as i am not a paying member and when that time comes it will most likey be going on ebay. That said i just want some Tricks/Tips/ ideas of how to fix the outlined above and to make it look nice agian {THIS IS NOT A WHATS IT WORTH NOR A FORSALE AD} so please no Pm's i just need advice
