aluminum door panel inserts

Anyone have any ideas on attaching the aluminum door trim pieces when the tabs are broken off the back???? My first thought is either rivets or 2-sided tape. Anyone got any pointers?

Re: aluminum door panel inserts

Mine are starting to fail. When they get a little wors=e, I plan to try to stick them on wih 3M double sided trim tape. It is the stuff that is used to hold trim and badges on the outside of a car. It is VERY strong.
