Just brought home a 67 'Burb
A few years back I picked up a 71 chevy 1/2 ton, and took it apart to work on the rust. Well, the neighbors didn't like that and complained to the city. To make a lone story short, I pulled the engine and tranny (where most of my $$$ was) and had to have it hauled away.
![]() ![]() ![]() I have a few projects to complete before I can put it in my shop and start working on it. Once I get the body work done, I have an 82 diesel 'burb that is going to donate the engine, transmission, front suspension, hydro-boost brakes, and whatever else I can make fit. I am also dreamin' about putting on a couple turbos to give it a little more power. Thanks!

Re: Just brought home a 67 'Burb
Sorry for the confusion. I lived in Bellevue near BCC when I was working on my 71 chevy truck, and I moved out to Gold Bar in February. Let me know when you want to stop by, I'll make sure there's a beer in the fridge for ya...you're welcome over anytime.
It will be a month or so before I can start on the 67.....have a few projects to do first. I got the 67 off the trailer yesterday, and I will try to take some more pics monday. Thanks!

Re: Just brought home a 67 'Burb
Idle junk vehicles in the driveway are one thing,an early GM truck project is another. When will the ignorant become enlightened?A complete`85 Tersel sitting idle is prolly overlooked.Asson as you leave the hood up on a`71 Sub and there goes the neighborhood. There are high-dollar equestrian communities where flys and horse poop abound.Yet,you can`t keep a horse in the average yard(or the trailer in the driveway). My dream is to build a community where every house has to have a minimum 30'x40' detached garage,a dedicated "parts/parts vehicle" area, and at least one partially dismantled vehicle visible at all times. If not, you`ll be hearing from the committee.
![]() Glad you are "free" to enjoy your hobby now.Have fun with it.

Re: Just brought home a 67 'Burb
I wish I could say the trailer is mine, but it belongs to a friend of mine. It was built at Paros Trailers, a few miles down the road from me in Sutlan.

Re: Just brought home a 67 'Burb
Here are some more pics:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And the donor vehicle: ![]() The 67 is going to need a lot of work, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I will have to replace the front cab supports, all 3 rockers, the kick panels, rear quarter panels, and the front right fender. That's all the rust I've found so far. Hopefully, in a month or so I will be ready to put it in the shop. Thanks for the tip on the website. It will be a while, but I will check it out. The black and grey 'burb behind the donor vehicle is my 4x4 and it also is a diesel. I want to swap out the 700R4 for an SM-465 (have almost all of the parts needed), then fit some 15" wheels (coloradoK5.com has an article on fitting 15" wheels on a 3/4 ton truck) with 33's and then work on giving it a little more power. I think the biggest problem I had with my old neighborhood was the location. I think my friend and I had the oldest vehicles in the area. Hopefully within a year or so I plan to add on to my shop. There is quite a bit of space between it and the back part of my property and I've been dreamin' about getting that area leveled off and at the least pour a concrete pad for my "extra" vehicles. Thanks!
