Blazer Tank or Fuel Cell for truck......
I've done a bit of research on both of these but wanted some opinions. My truck is going to be low so I don't want something that hangs to low, and I also want a working fuel gauge.
Anyone have suggestions between these? I'm just confused about sending units.... |

Last i looked, i'm pretty sure fuel cells are illegal for road use. don't ask why.

Re: Blazer Tank or Fuel Cell for truck......
I have a fuel cell in my truck. Easy to install and has a built in sender for a fuel gauge hookup.
I have never heard they were illegal, I wouldn't think they would be since a lot of tanks on cars and trucks today are plastic too.

I have a 7" deep 16 gallon aluminum rear tank made by FUELCELLGUY (Mark Fowler).
My '72 chassis has a 6" rear drop and there is plenty of clearance. Not even close to being a problem. |

The advantage to a fuel cell is you can increase the size of your fuel line from stock to something larger if you add more HP later on. The blazer tank would have to be reworked to that.

You need a 0-90ohm sender for it to work with stock GM guages.
This is what my Blazertank looks like from the rear.
