Re: What do I need to steer with a Z'd frame?

Without pics or measurements or something to go by its kinda like asking how high is up and what do I need to get there. What are you using for steering box, shocks, frontend, A arms, etc... A steering joint is a given with almost any frame mod. even then we need to know what type of steering shaft you are going to use before anyone can give you that info, they come in D, DD, square, various splines, slip, solid and so on. Post a little more info on what your doing and what you have so far. Then it will be easier to give you some acurate info.

Re: What do I need to steer with a Z'd frame?

I JUST spent 275.00 on the 3 joints and a DD shaft. The column is a 3/4 36 spline to DD then youll need a DD to DD then a DD to 3/4 30 for the P/S box. Id count the # of splines on your Box b/c I used one off of a later chevy. Other than that the DD shaft and a 3/4 heim joint. Thats all.....lol The SH!T NEVER ENDS.......INDY OR BUST

Re: What do I need to steer with a Z'd frame?

Thanks 7 duece, gives me a little somewhere to start.
I z'd it 3" with stock control arms. Im not sure what the steering column came out of cuz its a tilt with the ignition in it. Also not sure of the steering box. If anyone has any pics of their steering shaft it would be a great help.
