Trying to install instrument panel and gauges...HHHEEEELLPPPP!!!!
I bought the CPP panel and gauges. The gauges are Auto Meter. 2 questions. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the plug that went into the stock panel??? Also...does anyone know what I need to do to get the oil pressure line connected to this stupid oil pressure gauge!!! It came with about 4 fittings and 1 pressure sensor but none of them fit and the fricken gauge is electronic!!! I haven't got the slightest idea what to do. HHHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

About half way down on this page is your wiring diagramn: http://www.gmcpauls.com/Tech%20Tips1.htm
Either buy an electric sending unit for the oil pressure gauge or a mechanical oil pressure gauge.

The sending unit should screw into the back of the block on the drivers side. You can also put it in the hole just above your oil filter. Then all you have to do is install the wire to the back of the guage.

Re: Trying to install instrument panel and gauges...HHHEEEELLPPPP!!!!
actually theres another spot. On the top of the block theres a notch whree the manifold goes around a part of the block. This would be located in the back of the block, between the heads, where you would stick the rubber/cork gasket, there is a small hole.
Damn this is hard to explain. I'll go shoot a pic. i found this pic from my install and circled the port. This is where my oil pressure fitting is hooked up.

I have also mounted the sending unit to the end of the original line that went to the gauge. This puts the sending unit under the dash and you dont have to run any extra wiring under the hood. Just a short wire to the gauge.
