wheels & tires 4 lowered truck

i'm about to go blind looking at the computer trying to figure out tire and wheel combos for a lowered truck. i want to go with 17" & 18" combo on a 72 pickup with a 4/6 drop. want a 8" on the front and a 9 1/2" or 10" on the rear. what offset wheels do i need to use and what size tires would look best. can't tell if a 50 or 60 series would be best. any help and or pictures would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!!!

these trucks don't need vacuum gauges cause they don't suck!
two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights do make a left
all i want is a little more than i'll ever get
it's better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6

Re: wheels & tires 4 lowered truck

I've always liked this truck that had 17's & 18's. In the magazine article they listed 245/50R17 & 295/45ZR18 as the tire sizes. Nothing about offset though...

Re: wheels & tires 4 lowered truck

hey, you are looking at 4.5 for the front and 5.0 for the rear in back space.that will give you a perfect fit for a 17x8 rim in the front and a 18x 9.5 in the rear. good luck. Tony
