Rear panhard bar w/ airbags?

I bought an adjustable rear panhard bar(trackbar) for my 71'. I'm currently baggin it. Where do you adjust it at? When its dropped parked or at driving position? Because when it's set at driving position and then dropped down the axle shifts way over and isn't centered in my c-notch. Am I just supposed to find a happy medium or what? Any tips let me know.

It's supposed to be centered at drive height. Do you mean it isn't centered left to right in the notch or front to back? Left to right is normal. You might have tire rubbing issues if you are running a fairly wide rear so rail carefully so you don't burn paint if you go with some meat in the back.

You need to adjust it to center at ride height. You also need to get it parallel with the gound at ride height.

Re: Rear panhard bar w/ airbags?

OK, lets take a step back here. You say you have an "adjustable panhard", but are you meaning the one that is adjustable but still mounts in the stock locations, or do you mean the one that mounts at the stock frame location on the driver side and goes all the way to a mounting point on the passenger side trailing arm? If you have the first one I'm describing, and are bagged, then I would ditch that one and get the one that goes all the way across to the trailing arm. There WILL be more side-to-side movement with the first one I'm describing due to its shorter length.

It's an adjustable in the stock location, but I am going to be running some meat 335/25/22's. So this thing jumps over about an 1.5in when dropped from the ride height. So do I just gotta play with it till it clears everything?

CPP makes one called the Deluxe Trac Bar (part #6572DTBK), and ECE makes one called the Super Trac Bar (part #902-6572TBK). Both are designed for trucks lowered more than 4". The adjustable ones are for stock to 4" drops (not bags).

Yeah, if you're bagged you're gonna need the longer "deluxe trac bar".
