I said the GMC was gonna run properly before summer's end -- and I did!

Well, I gave the ol' girl one more go, now that I've got a brand new knock sensor, and fixed up all the error codes. I've got her idling real smooth at 850 rpm, just enough that it doesn't have idle issues with the O2 sensor. Perfect for a standard anyways...

I got it all dialed in, set minimum air, set my TPS, etc etc, then took her out for a whirl... And I mean that in the literal sense of the word, lol -- Its been raining here for the past few days, and it slowed down to just a slight drizzle when I went out, I had it in first, and figured I'd see what kind of torque that TPI makes... Gave it about half throttle, and before I even knew what was happening, I was facing the opposite direction on the road, lol

Posi definitely is working, and holy crap does that TPI have some earth shattering torque, LOL

Infact, the thing is running better right now than it ever did with the carb on it! If I had shocks, and my box bolted down (I had some re-adjusting to do after my accidental doughnut, lol) I'd be willing to hop in and go anywhere with it right now

It definitely runs better than the TBI does on the 77, and that is with a chip that most definitely needs a lot of work...

I'm almost depressed that I finally get her running properly, and I'm about to park it in the shop for the rest of the winter

Anyways, probally be my last opportunity to work on the truck until I either drop it off at a body shop later this fall / winter, or next spring when I finish school, so I'm happy that I finally got the old girl running properly after all these years

Congrats bud, I'm always glad to hear when you've got one of your beasts runni' good.

I'm contemplating taking Ol' Red around the block with the bed off when I bulid my new box. Just for kicks and gigles (and some pics).

You may be putting it up for the winter soon, but doesn't it feel good that you got that behind you? Go do another doughnut and enjoy it before winter and school...

Come to think of it... Those tires on there are in need of replacement...

I think I'll bolt my box down, and take a video next week
