1970 c10 drop spindle install questions
i,ve got a 1970 c10 chevy and its drum brakes with 6 lug wheels. i bought a set of classic 2" drop spindles and a new set of hubs-rotors, bearings etc. my question is when i remove my old stock spindles will the classic drop spindles bolt in the same ball joints & tierod ends or do i have to switch them out to 1971-72 yr. model ball joints & tierod ends. for the rear i,am gonna send my axles to moser eng. and have the bolt pattern changed to 5 lug and buy new drums that are for 5 lug chevy.THANKS FOR YOUR HELP GUYS.if anybody needs the front & rear 6 lug components let me know it only has 19,000 original miles on the truck.

Re: 1970 c10 drop spindle install questions
It depends on what spindles you bought. Some use the your original balljoints and others convert to the 73 and up balljoints. When I did it I bought the whole front end rebuild which converted the ball joints and tie rod ends to the 73 & up ones.

I believe you will have to change the ball joints and outer tie rod ends.
